FRANCK WEYLER'S
ARTISTIC LIFE

Born in Savoy to an accordion-playing father, a large part of his family was involved in music, and music was a family legacy. One day, a cousin of Sophie Darel’s, a pianist, asked him to record an album in Paris. For Jacky (Franck Weyler) , who dreamed of being at the top of the bill, it was the Holy Grail. A romantic singer with a velvety voice, he once sang backing vocals for Guy Béart, and went on to record several singles, including “La Cathédrale”, in collaboration with Didier Barbelivien and Claude Valois, followed by LPs with well-known singles such as “A petits pas, l’amour s’en va”, “Ennui”, “Amoureux”, “Toi, Moi, Harmonie” and “Pars pas comme ça!

With his wife Lauryanne, a famous dancer and acrobat, they bought “Le Paradis du Laury’s”, a discotheque where a number of popular evenings and singing tours were celebrated. Franck soon became the darling of the whole village, the region and French-speaking Switzerland, where a producer was interested in him. Then Serge Boccara, singer and friend of the couple, encouraged him to take part in Var Matin République’s “La Gazette en chanson”. Franck took part in the singing competition and won, followed by a grand tour of the Var, opening for Jean Roucas in front of over 5000 people.

A serious accident kept him away from the stage for some time, but his wife Lauryanne urged him to return, for music is part of him.

Never stopping to sing discreetly, he returned to the stage in La Croix-Valmer with Les Anches d’azur, and once again performed in the region’s theaters and international venues.
He is currently working on 2 albums of 8 songs to be released in autumn 2023, and is planning live shows with musicians for 2024.
